After world war II this Brazilian chocolate sweet was named after a famous general who ranked as a “Brigadeiro”. At that time Brazil had a shortage of milk and sugar so they used condensed milk, chocolate and butter to make chocolate..

Brigadeiro is often eaten as a snack or served as a dessert. This traditional Brigadeiro recipe is very simple and easy, but is very tasty and will always brings a smile to your guests.

Brigadeiro Fudge Balls Ingredients

Brigadeiro Recipe Instructions

1. Stir slowly the condensed milk, butter, and toddy chocolate in a non stick pan at medium heat just enough to boil.. When the mix starts boiling it will look like a thick chocolate pudding. Stir until the chocolate stops sticking to the pan.

2. When it’s ready put the fudge pudding inside a bowl (See Pic below).

3. Now place the bowl in the refrigerator for about 4 to 5 hours until it’s cold.. After the chocolate fudge is cold take it out of the fridge.. It’s time to make fudge balls!

4. Rub your hands with a little butter so the fudge does not stick to them, then take as much chocolate fudge needed to make little balls. Lay them side by side with a little space in between in a platter or plate and sprinkle chocolate on them. Place them in paper baking cups and they are ready to be served. Enjoy!
